I'll DO
Planning a bachelorette party has never been easier

The problem
Organizing a bachelorette party is challenging, even with experience.
You must consider the budget, availability, date, and preferences of the bride and guests—all before making a plan.
My goal is to simplify this by creating an app that centralizes all the necessary information and options.
The solution
The app I created simplifies bachelorette party planning, offering tools to organize and enjoy the process. It provides details on activities and venues, including costs, availability, and participant limits.Features include group chat, polls, budget management, expense sharing, and a bride questionnaire to align with her expectations.

User Research
Social networks review | Questionnaire
Social networks review
A Facebook search for "bachelorette" reveals hundreds of posts with vendor recommendations, ideas, and planning tips.
Key organizer searches include:
-
Number of participants
-
Suitable venues
-
Workshops or activities
-
Themes and concepts
-
Budget per participant
-
Date or season

Questionnaire
Based on the post analysis, I created a user questionnaire to identify pain points and find solutions for bachelorette party organizers. It was completed by 30 respondents, 90% of whom were women.
39%
Difficulty in finding a suitable and available location
45%
Received instructions from the bride to plan the party
77%
Organized a bachelorette party at least once or twice
73%
their main difficulty was a mismatch between the cost of suppliers and their budget
61%
Use Facebook as a primary source of information
50%
Felt lack of responsiveness and availability as well as collecting funds from participants
Competitive Analysis

Bridesquad

TheBach
Strengths
-
Allows to create multiple events simultaneously
-
There is an option to book through the app
-
Each activity indicates the cost per person and the duration of the activity
-
It is possible to track expenses
-
The app includes chat, polls, expense tracking, and registration as a bride or organizer
-
It’s intuitive and user-friendly
Weaknesses
-
No option to launch polls from a place page
-
There is no built-in chat in the app
-
The main focus is not a bachelorette party, there is a variety of events
-
The app uses filters for search instead of separate categories
-
On each party page, the cost is displayed for the entire party, not per person
Conclusions
-
Both competing apps target the American market, and I couldn’t find an Israeli competitor.
-
Neither app includes the bride as a source of information, despite 45% of my survey respondents receiving guidance from the bride.
-
The combination of Facebook insights, survey results, and competitive analysis confirmed the need for an Israeli app that centralizes all relevant information to simplify the process—leading to the birth of my idea.

"I'm happy to be the one who is trusted to organize a bachelorette party, but planning it requires a lot of thought and time, which I don't always have"
"This is the second time I'm getting married, and I don't want to make an issue out of it, just to be enjoy with my best friends"
Pain points
-
She does not have a lot of free time to call a variety of suppliers and check availability
-
She does not know all of the bride's friends and is afraid that they will not be responsive and help her
-
She has an average budget for each participant and there will be 6 girls, she is afraid that they will not find an activity that will suit them
Pain points
-
She does not want her friends to spend a large amount of money on the party
-
Because her friends are diverse and from different social circles, she worries that they will not be able to find an activity that they will all enjoy

The design process
I felt that the initial design I created was visually overloaded, and in a design style that I did not feel identified with. Despite the amount of work I knew I would have, I decided to start over building the app. I created new UX screens (shown in the section above) and based on them I redesigned the new UI.
At the bottom of the section you can view the old design.
The App

After the user choose to start a party or to join one, the sign In screen will appear

Create a party
Now the user can answer on specific questions, plus the option to send a questionnaire to the bride, that will focus the search and help to find the relevant options for the bachelorette party

Let's discover and get started!

Whether the user answered or chose to skip for now, the home page appears and shows three categories: activities, destinations and by users
When the user press one category, for example 'Activities', the App displays the 'Top rated' activities by top rated categories- based on the UX research I have done in advance.
If the user wants to find a specific activity or business he can use the explore button or to tap the filter button on top.

After the user choose the rubric that he interested of, for example 'Cocktails', he can view all the options at the category.
To accurate the search the user can use the filter button and mark multiple options like budget, distance, star rating and etc.
The activity page Includes data like location, price, number of participants, the duration of the activity and rating.
The user can launch a poll to the group and to book this activity via the availability button.
There is an option to view reviews and write one.
Other similar activities are shown at the bottom of the page.

Other important option to start planning the party is explore other users experiences and view all the vendors they used to create their party.
The user can add each of them can to the event, launch a poll and check availability.
At the event page the user can create an event to everyone to follow.
There is an option to add the group members for the party so they can send polls and follow the event.
This page is also used as a reminder diary - you can insert notes and tasks.

From the chat page the user can send a photo, GIF or launch a poll.
There are many ways that leads to launch a poll- here you can view it from chat.

By clicking on expenses, you can manage the financial expenses of the bachelorette party.
You can send money to the participant or enter an expense that came from me.
The entire transfer of funds is done through the application to maximize the convenience of users.

Thank you
